The Community Coach Developer Course is for people who are passionate about growing the game by developing coaches. It equips participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence to facilitate engaging learning experiences, support coach development, and help create positive environments where players can thrive. Delivered regionally through a blend of facilitated learning, practical application and mentoring, the course consists of three parts:
Part 1 – The Coach Developer
Develop the mindset, knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to facilitate meaningful learning experiences and support the growth of community coaches.
Part 2 – NZF Learn Course Knowledge
Build a strong understanding of New Zealand Football’s community coach education programmes, including the key content, learning outcomes and delivery approach across all community courses.
Part 3 – Practical Delivery, Support and Sign-off
Put learning into practice by co-delivering community courses, receiving mentoring and feedback, and completing the endorsement process to become a recognised Community Coach Developer.
Upon successful completion of all three parts, participants are endorsed as Community Coach Developers and are qualified to deliver New Zealand Football’s community coach education programmes across Aotearoa New Zealand. The course also provides the foundation for those who aspire to progress along the Coach Developer pathway into advanced coach development.
